Rallies and Protests banned in Chandigarh
The Chandigarh Administration has imposed a ban on taking out processions, rallies, protests, strikes, and so on inside the territory of UT other than Rally Ground in Sector 25 for a interval of two months.
An order issued by District Magistrate KK Yadav states that most people is prohibited from taking out procession, rally, protest, strike, making speeches, elevating slogans, or gathering of 5 or extra individuals and so on inside the territory of the UT other than Rally Ground in Sector 25, for a interval of 60 days.
Further, prior permission for organising procession, rally, protest, strike, making speeches, elevating slogans, gathering of 5 or extra individuals and so on on the Rally Ground have to be obtained from the competent authority.
